The first and most important thing to tell you is that Minimixers does not sell, rent or trade email lists or contact details with other companies, businesses or individucals for marketing purposes or profit.

But some information is collected when you visit www.minimixers.co.uk.  This privacy policy tells you exactly what information is collected, how it is used and how you can request a copy of this information. Information on  when and why Mini Mixers might collect information from you, the limited conditions when it may be disclosed to others and how  Mini Mixers keeps any information secure is also included.

Google Analytics

When someone visits this website Mini Mixers use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.

Mini Mixers does this to see who visits the website, where they come from and what pages they visit – that way Mini Mixers can find out what pages are of most interest to site visitors. This information is processed by Google Analytics in a way which does not identify anyone. Mini Mixers does not make and does not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of visitors to the website.

Anti-Spam Protection.

Mini Mixers uses an Anti-Spam plugin. The plugin will record the name and email address you provide when you leave a comment. It will also record the comment you make & the time you make it. You can read more about how the plugin stores information by following this link to the plugin website.

All comments are moderated by Mini Mixers before they are published on the website. Mini Mixers will not publish a comment that we think contains information that could be personal or sensitive to you. But we’re human and may occasionally miss something! So please make sure that if you do leave a comment, you only include information that you would be happy to be made public.

If you ever do post a comment that is published and then would like me to delete the comment, you can email Mini Mixers at [email protected] and it will be deleted.

Website Security

In addition to the Anti-Spam plugin Mini Mixers use a website security plugin. The plugin collects your IP address, location, the time you visit the website and the browser you used to access the site. The information is stored within the website’s database and log files. The information is anonymous. Some of the information is sent to the creators of the plugin so that they can ensure that their plugin remains up to date and secure. This information is also anonymous and no individual can be identified by it.

Mailing List Sign-up.

As part of the registration process for my monthly e-newslettter Mini Mixers collects personal information from you. We use this information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about the things you’ve asked us to tell you about (new parties, sessions etc), to give you information about things we think you might be interested in, to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information: to check my records are right and (every so often) to see if you’re happy and satisfied. Mini Mixers does not rent or trade email lists with any other organisation or business.

When you sign up to the Mini Mixers newsletter we use a double-opt in method which means that you will receive an email from Mini Mixers, asking you to confirm that you still want to sign-up to the newsletter.

Mini Mixers uses MailChimp which is a 3rd Party Provider, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and click-throughs (the links you might visit from the newsletter) using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve my e-newsletter. You can unsubscribe to my newsletter whenever you want to. You can do this by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the newsletters or you can email me directly at [email protected].

Booking Forms

In order to book a party or a session via the website Mini Mixers asks you to complete a booking form. The information you submit on the booking form is sent via an encrypted email to me. A copy of this information is also forwarded to you for your records. We expressly ask your permission for the information to be sent before you submit the form. No personal information is held on the website.

The GDPR and you

On the 25t of May 2018 the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) replaces the current Data Protection Act of 1995 Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC).

The GDPR was proposed by the European Commission and is designed to strengthen data protection for people in the European Union (EU). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.

The new regulations give individuals greater rights over information that is collected about them. If you are interested in knowing more about your rights under the GDPR then the Information Comissionors Office (ICO) website explains all about the GDPR.

In a nutshell the GDPR gives you new and enhanced rights over your personal data. Some of the rights highlighted in the regulation are:

Explicit consent: Data subjects (you) must be informed about how their personal data will be processed. Organizations must make it as easy for data subjects to withdraw their consent as it is to grant it. You may withdraw your consent from us at any time by emailing [email protected]

Right to access: At any point in time, the data subject (you) can ask Mini Mixers what personal data is being stored or retained about him/her. I give details on how you can contact me to request information about how you can request access to any data we may hold about you by emailing [email protected].

Right to be forgotten: The data subject (you) can request Mini Mixers to remove their personal information from our systems. You can do this by contacting Mini Mixers at [email protected]
