Cake Order Terms & Conditions

Please Read Carefully

A deposit is required for ALL orders. This is a non-refundable retainer to ensure space is saved for your cake to be made. Failure to pay the deposit within 24 hours means I can’t guarantee the space will be available.

Typically the deposit for celebration cakes is £20 and wedding or large orders £50.

Balances are due 3 days before collection for celebration orders and 4 weeks prior to your wedding.

Final details, figures, card toppers, wording, flavours and colours must be confirmed no later than 3 weeks before your order date. Failure to confirm this may result in items being unavailable.

Collections – please ensure the date you book for collection is the date you want your cake for. Cakes are made fresh, cupcakes have a 2 day max shelf life but are best eaten by the next day. Fondant cakes are best eaten within 5 days and buttercream cakes within 3 days (plus beware of climate with these cakes they are all butter cakes and need to be kept refrigerated).

Collection times are typically Saturdays 10-12 for weekend orders. Evenings mid week are available. Please discuss this at time of booking. Once confirmed, it’s very difficult to change these times andI have a family and commitments which I plan around your orders.

All cakes are to be transported in the boot or foot well ensuring nothing can fall onto it. Please bear this in mind before setting off (remove prams etc).

Please also have the car as cool as possible in hot weather and remove the cake immediately at your destination, storing in a cool place.

Once collected, I’m afraid I cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by carelessness and not following my guidance. Please drive slowly and carefully. Please follow your cake care instructions.

In the unlikely event of any complaint please contact me immediately to discuss. The cake will need to be returned to me for inspection in a mostly unused state so I can assess what issues may have arisen. I respectfully ask you to contact me first to resolve without discussion on social media as I would like the opportunity to resolve the situation. Unfortunately refunds cannot be made based on personal preferences alone.

In the unlikely event of you needing to cancel your order deposits are non-refundable and non transferable. Any additional monies paid will be discussed on an individual basis as perishable or personalised items may have been purchased.

In the unlikely event that I have to cancel your order all monies, including the deposit, will be refunded and can be transferred.

Delivery for wedding cakes and large orders is available and charged per order.

As always, please ask any questions I’m happy to help.
